Part of this adventure was just the nightmare trip out at the end of the day. I won’t go through the painful details, so here it is recapped: 3 hours on the runway, switched airlines twice, ran the ENTIRE length of the massive Chicago airport (every terminal because of three different airlines), was told our rental car wouldn’t be available and was sold out, no chance of bags showing up.
